Sparks ignite the passions of a small town in Colorado as the will of the majority collides with one person’s individual rights. Brian Sterling, a wounded veteran from an earlier war, is thrust into the middle as he is compelled to represent an arrogant young man accused of burning the American Flag during an anti-war protest. Soon, neighbor is pitted against neighbor, spouse against spouse, partner against partner, as the sacred political concepts of a nation do battle with the equally sacred judicial principles of that same nation. The human consequences are dramatic and, perhaps, more than the community and the nation can bear.
