Zach Marks was born on June 2, 2000 to Sarah and Darren Marks in Boca Raton, FL. He is the second oldest of six children. Early on, Zach was a quiet child with a wild imagination who developed a love of surfing, skating, and motocross. He also loved to attend his dad’s business meetings and marketing events, and once he discovered social media - he couldn’t get enough. By the time he was 10 years old, Zach had developed a strong interest in computers, technology, and business and also entered the FLVS online education full time student program. In late 2010, after being kicked off Facebook twice by his parents, Zach set off on the biggest adventure of his young life - the creation of Grom Social. Transforming obstacle into opportunity, Zach followed his dream of designing a website where kids
can connect and express themselves in a safe, fun, environment that also gives a voice to his desire to help stop bullying and encourage social responsibility and healthy, active lifestyles.
