Helen Raleigh is an author, professional speaker, policy fellow and business owner. She is the author of Confucius Never Said, an autobiographical account of four generations of her own family’s journey from repression and poverty in China to freedom and prosperity in the U.S. It won the 2015 silver Benjamin Franklin Award by Independent Publishers Association (IBPA). She writes regularly about China, immigration, international affairs and free market economics. Her writing has been published by the Wall Street Journal, the Denver Post, the CFA Magazine and other publications. Helen is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English. As a highly sought-after professional speaker, she has captivated audiences in the US and China. She is best known for making complicated concepts simple, personable and actionable.

Helen is a Policy Fellow at the Centennial Institute in Lakewood, Colorado. She published a thought-provoking policy brief on immigration reform in which she argues for a simpler and more market based approach to immigration. Helen has an MBA from the University of Wyoming and an M.S. in Business Economics from the State University of New York, Oneonta.
